DISPUTED REPORT: DailyGuide Network Claims Nii Dodoo Ansah III "Inducted" as Abeka Dzaasetse
The DailyGuide Network reported an "induction" of Nii Dodoo Ansah III as Abeka Dzaasetse. This report is NOT VALID — the ceremony was not conducted by the recognised Abeka kingmakers and has no customary foundation under Ga law.

The Abeka Dzaase (Jonathan Yartey Boye) was installed on 4 August 2013 by the Abeka kingmakers in accordance with Ga customary law and with the knowledge of the Asere Traditional Council. The High Court of Ghana confirmed the constitutional authority of the Nii Boi Royal Family over the Abeka Dzaase office in Suit No. Misc. 1675/2002 (perpetual injunction, presided by Her Lordship Mrs. Felicity Amoah). That judgment remains in force.

⚠ IMPORTANT NOTICE: The event referenced in this post was reported by the DailyGuide Network (dailyguidenetwork.com). While a ceremony did take place, it was NOT conducted by the legitimate and recognised Abeka kingmakers. Under Ga customary law, the Dzaasetse of Abeka can only be conferred by the Abeka kingmakers. The Amu Dodoo / Dodoo Ansah family — who presided over this ceremony — are NOT the Abeka kingmakers and therefore do not hold the customary authority to confer the Dzaasetse title. This "induction" is therefore not recognised by the Nii Boi Royal Family and has no validity under Ga customary law.
What the DailyGuide Network Reported
The DailyGuide Network published a report claiming that Nii Dodoo Ansah III of the Amu Dodoo / Dodoo Ansah family had been "inducted" or enstooled as the Dzaasetse of the Abeka Stool. The report described a ceremony and attributed the event to representatives of the Abeka traditional community.
Why This Report Is Not Valid
Under Ga customary law, traditional appointments — including the conferral of the Dzaasetse title — must be made by those who are recognised as the legitimate kingmakers of the community in question. The Dzaasetse of Abeka is a senior traditional office under the custodianship of the Abeka Stool (the Nii Boi Royal Family).
The Amu Dodoo / Dodoo Ansah family are not the Abeka kingmakers. They do not hold the customary authority to determine, confer, or install anyone into any position under the Abeka Stool. Any purported enstoolment or induction conducted outside the authority of the recognised Abeka kingmakers is without customary foundation and carries no legal or customary validity.
Furthermore, the 2002 perpetual injunction (Suit No. Misc. 1675/2002) affirmed the exclusive right of the Nii Boi Royal Family to make all Abeka traditional appointments. This injunction remains in force and applies to all traditional offices within the Abeka Traditional Area.
Who Is the Legitimate Dzaasetse of Abeka?
The legitimately enstooled Dzaasetse of the Abeka Stool is Jonathan Yartey Boye, who was installed on 4 August 2013 — the same day that Nii Boi IV was enstooled as Abeka Mantse. Both enstoolments were conducted together under the authority of the recognised Abeka kingmakers, in full compliance with Ga customary law.
Jonathan Yartey Boye remains the only valid and recognised Dzaasetse of the Abeka Stool. His appointment has the full backing of the Nii Boi Royal Family and the Abeka kingmakers.
Statement from the Nii Boi Royal Family
The Nii Boi Royal Family hereby puts the public on notice that:
- The DailyGuide Network report about Nii Dodoo Ansah III's "induction" as Abeka Dzaasetse is inaccurate and misleading.
- No such valid enstoolment or induction has taken place under the authority of the Abeka kingmakers.
- Jonathan Yartey Boye is and remains the legitimate Dzaasetse of the Abeka Stool, having been properly installed in 2013.
- Members of the public, media, and government institutions are advised not to recognise or act upon the DailyGuide Network report as representing the authentic position of the Abeka Traditional Area.
